Flat grinding wheels stand out due to very good stock removal rates and achieving
very high accuracy regarding roughness, fl atness and parallelism. By using diamond
and CBN grinding wheels, processing of hard materials, like ceramics or hard metal
is possible. In addition there is no need for loose grit in the form of suspensions any
more, because the grit is already inserted in the wheels. This grit can be bound with
resin bond, ceramics or metal.
Low process forces and minor workpiece deformation are further advantages of
surface processing with fl at grinding wheels. The only disadvantage is the fact, that
the wheel turns unsharp with time. This can be trued up very fast by conditioning the
wheels with conventional grinding medium.
According to the requirements we offer you a suitable wheel type (segmented or
with round/hexagonal pellets).
Cast-iron lapping plate
The applied cast iron qualities stand out due to void-free, homogeneous base structure, with graphite formation in shape, size and few differences in hardness across the whole diameter. Due to years of experience in processing with the use of cast iron lapping plates we advise you to use different hardness grades with lamellar and spheroidal graphite for individual purposes. Our standard quality is lamellar graphite cast iron EN-GJL-250.
We deliver suitable lapping plates and segments made of cast-iron for all types of lapping machines.
possible grooving: ungrooved, radial groove, waffle groove, spiral groove
Steel lapping plate
We predominantly use S355, which is heat-treated to eliminate the tension. On request we can provide all needed steel grades.
On request we can provide all needed steel grades.
These ungrooved plates serve as a carrier plate for polishing plates and polishing
pads. Type: aluminium (optional with nonstick coating), cast-iron, steel, granite
Copper plate
We deliver suitable lapping plates and segments made of copper.
